Psychological implications of pump therapy

Treatment with pump therapy is an informed choice and it is not a treatment to be undertaken lightly. Insulin pump therapy requires a great deal of commitment and motivation. Support from family and friends may be needed as time-consuming training and education are necessary in order to become skilled in insulin pump use.
