How can I manage it?
Gestational diabetes can be managed by keeping your blood glucose under control. This can be achieved through lifestyle changes – such as eating a healthy diet and doing regular exercise – or sometimes additional medication is needed to help your body control its blood glucose levels.
Your blood glucose levels are affected by the amount and the type of food that you eat. The sections on managing gestational diabetes with lifestyle will advise you on how to manage your glucose levels. Later sections in this course will also cover different medications you may be prescribed and exercises you can do to help support you and your baby.
