The aims of this course are:

    • What are the risk factors for type 2 diabetes?
    • How weight loss impacts the risk of developing type 2 diabetes
    • How physical activity can help reduce the risk
    • The impact of smoking and drinking alcohol on developing type 2 diabetes
    • What support is available to help you
  • To improve your confidence in managing your risk of developing type 2 diabetes
  • To help you make informed choices which will lead to better overall health and wellbeing
  • To share experiences with other people through patient stories and peer-to-peer learning

The information contained in this course comes in a variety of different types: information to read, videos to watch, links to other websites, and activities and quizzes to help you understand more about type 2 diabetes.

Preventing type 2 diabetes is a learning process and you may have picked up many tips and tricks along the way.
